TROVE PRIVACY POLICY Last updated: June 30, 2026 Trove ("we," "us," or "the app") helps you find secondhand and thrift stores and identify items you photograph. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain about it. INFORMATION WE COLLECT - Photos you take or select. When you use Identify Item, the photo is sent to our processing service and to our AI providers so the item can be analyzed. If you choose to save an item, the photo and its results are stored in your account so you can see them later in History. - Approximate or precise location. When you use Find Stores, the app uses your device location to search for nearby stores. Location is used to perform your search and is not used to track you over time. - Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address to sign you in and to associate your saved items with you. - Subscription status. Trove Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple. We (through our subscription provider, RevenueCat) receive whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your payment card or full billing details. - Basic app and diagnostic data. Limited technical information (such as app errors and anonymous usage counts, including an on-device count of free identifications used) may be processed to keep the app working and to enforce free-tier limits. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION - To identify photographed items and generate descriptions, value estimates, and repurposing ideas. - To find and display secondhand stores near your chosen location and to help plan visits. - To create and maintain your account and your saved History and Favorites. - To provide, manage, and restore Trove Pro subscriptions and to apply free-tier limits. - To maintain, secure, and improve the app. SERVICE PROVIDERS WE SHARE DATA WITH We use trusted third parties only to operate the app. They process data on our behalf: - Google -- Maps and Places (store search) and Gemini AI (item analysis and image generation). - Anthropic -- Claude AI (item analysis). - Supabase -- secure backend, authentication, and storage of your saved items. - Apple -- subscription billing through the App Store. - RevenueCat -- subscription management (active/inactive status). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. DATA RETENTION Saved items remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account. Photos submitted for identification are processed to produce your results; photos you do not save are not retained by us for long-term storage. Our AI providers may process submitted images transiently to return a result in accordance with their own terms. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS - Location. You can allow or deny location access in your device Settings at any time. Denying it only limits the Find Stores feature. - Saved items. You can delete individual saved items in the app. - Account and data deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your data unless we are required to keep it by law. - Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Trove is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it. SECURITY We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. CONTACT Questions or requests? Email matthewbrickhaus@gmail.com. (c) 2026 Trove. All rights reserved.
